INTERNATIONAL DAY

Living in a multi-cultural city like Hong Kong gives our children the chance to meet people from various parts of the world. Celebrating cultural diversity provides a range of opportunities for children and educators alike to appreciate our similarities and differences.

By representing their country of origin a child strengthens their self-identity, awareness and knowledge. It also helps us promote a culturally inclusive classroom.

We encouraged our children to come to school with something that represented their culture, and we had children bring in a model of the Big Ben, dressed up in a Cheongsam, bring in a Kiwi counting book in Maori and more. It was a wonderful day.
