Our Family Celebration Week at Woodland Pok Fu Lam has been a blast! With such a multicultural group of families, we are lucky to have been able to explore the different ways families identify, celebrate, and enjoy their lives together. We invited all the families of our Stepping Stones and Pre-School classes to send in family videos to introduce themselves and to share what is important to them.

The children took these opportunities to discuss amongst themselves what festivals and holidays they celebrate, and learn about the other ways families enjoy these special occasions.

In addition, our children also got the opportunity to share and learn about their friends’ five heroes, which is part of our Protective Behaviours Programme designed to give children awareness of what is safe and the vocabularies they need to identify and express themselves.
