Woodland Sai Kung Pre-School

Here at Woodland Sai Kung Pre-School, our Accompanied programmes under 2 including Rollers, Wrigglers and Playgroups are all in full swing. Hoorah! It was an absolute delight to see all our children back at school again; “my oh my” how they have grown so much! It is a beautiful thing to see children growing up and developing into lovely little learners.

As part of our fun learning, the children are encouraged to explore different varieties of materials during our sensory play activities. We have a couple of questions for you, that you, as parents, may also wish to ask:

Firstly: Do you know what the benefits are when encouraging your little ones to be engaged in a sensory activity?  Well, here is the answer…sensory activity helps children to develop their motor skills, coordination, and concentration. It helps children to use all their senses to discover and explore their environment. In addition, sensory activity supports language development among children.

Secondly:  How can we as adults be instrumental in these learning process? We can address this by stating that adults need to acknowledge that they play an important part in children building trust and understanding of different textures during sensory activity. We should encourage, and not be reluctant, in letting children explore their senses, and the most significant role is allowing children to have a go and feel different textures during sensory activities.

These are some of the reasons as to why, at Woodland Sai Kung Pre-School, we are delighted to see your little ones engage in all sensory exploration with friends and family.

Here are some amazing photos of our children having fun learning during our sensory play activities.
