In our English Pre-school (Otters) class, we are learning about the ‘Three Little Pigs’. We chose this story to explore more on pretend play. The children worked together in groups to create a straw house (cao wu)   草屋， stick (mu wu) 木屋 and the brick (zhuan tou wu) 砖头屋 as their artwork which was then used to do a short play.

The children had a clear understanding of the moral of the story and enjoyed the pretend play. They learned from this fable, hard work pays off, and that it is important to be hard working.

The children had a great time doing the skit using the different characters in the story together with their own artwork which helped them understand and explore more about the story.
