In the past two weeks, our Pre-School classes here at Mid-Levels have been busy with hosting a Christmas carnival for the families to participate in and to join in the festivities of the holiday season. Our teachers prepared games for children and families – this was an incredible way of inviting families to become involved in our community. Schools are the centrepiece of our community, providing a safe place for children to have fun at special events, and binding neighbouring families together. Carnivals are a welcoming gesture to everyone and provide an opportunity for teachers, students, and caregivers to interact in different ways outside the classroom.
