Peak Pre-School

Enjoying the slightly cooler climate of the Peak, this charming school offers a wonderfully spacious outdoor play area and an enormous garden for the children to explore.

Like all Woodland Pre-Schools, we aim to provide the very highest quality pre-school education.

Accredited by The Pre-School Learning Alliance (London), the school employs traditional teaching methods with a significant Mandarin component and offers small classes.

What do you love about your job?
Every day is different! The Peak Pre-School is such a lovely environment to work in.
It is very satisfying to have the opportunity to be involved in helping families to find a nurturing place for their child to come to each day, and it’s wonderful to watch the children blossom as they grow in confidence.

What do you enjoy most about working at Woodland?
It’s great to be involved in, and a part of, the formative years in a child’s education and everyone here feels very privileged to be contributing to that. The teachers at Woodland always have the wellbeing of each child at heart and treat each child as an individual, giving them a wonderful, nurturing start to their future education.

  • Renee Callebaut

    Ms Renee Callebaut

    Lead Teacher

Qualification:  PGCE - Early years education.

Nationality/years in Hong Kong and/or Asia: Belgian. Since 2013.

What do you love about your job?
Being able to see the children grow from Playgroup to our Sea Horses and Polar Bears classes is something that I think is unique within the Peak campus. The opportunity to know all the students and see them grow into their characters is something that makes this campus and my job special.

What do you enjoy most about working at Woodland?
Children’s minds and how they think is something that has always fascinated me. As children are so different from one another and how they interpret information can differ this makes my job so much more exciting and different every day.

What’s your favourite memory at Woodland?
There are so many to mention as it’s such a lovely and nurturing environment to work in. The ones that stick with me the most are the ones where I see a child in my class achieve something that they have not been able to do before. Their happiness from their success is infectious!

What do you like to do when you are not teaching?
I love exploring Hong Kong and trying out new activities, so when I’m not in the classroom I’m venturing out like ‘Dora the Explorer’!
